Nancy Josey, 78, of Charlotte, died on September 29, 2012 at Asbury Care Center. Her cherished memory will forever be remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was born in Albemarle, NC on March 17, 1934 to Lyman and Petorah Ramsey Austin. Nancy was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church for the last 48 years and was an avid member of the Chipley Bible Class.
Survivors include one son Phil Josey and his wife Pam of Charlotte; one daughter Monte Josey Kearns and her husband Donald Jr. of Pickerington, Ohio; four grandchildren Brad Josey and his wife Erin, Kyle Josey, Jason Kearns and Jessica Kearns; two great grandsons, Bryson and Aiden Josey; and lastly her beloved dog "Jessie".
A Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 3 at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 E. Main St., Albemarle, NC 28001 with Dr. John Fitzgerald officiating. A Memorial Service will follow on the same day at 2:00 pm at Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Rd. Charlotte, NC 28211 with Dr. Bill Jeffries officiating. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service in the atrium of the church.
