Clint Josey,
68 of Statesville, died Friday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Iredell County on July 28, 1941, son of the late Clint Josey, Sr and
Ruth Bass Josey. He was also preceded in death by a brother Fred Josey and a
sister Pauline Gryder. He was a graduate of Harmony High School and was retired from Pepsi Cola
Bottling Co. after more than 30 years of service.
Clint is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Patsy Scott Josey, four sons;
Eddie Josey (Edith), Andy Josey (Sindy), Randy
Josey(Tammy) and Ricky Josey (Linda), seven grandchildren; Bradley, Alan,
Kristin, Cody, Heather, Travis, and Kevin Josey all of Statesville. Also
surviving is a sister, Thelma Menscer (Don) of Statesville.
Clint was a member of Providence United Methodist Church where services celebrating his life
are scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Karriker
officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour
with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends
on Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, and at
other times will be at the residence of the deceased.
