Addie B Cranford Jossey

Funeral services for Addie B. Jossey, 81, of Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. J.T. Harris will officiate and burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Jimerson Funeral Home. She died Monday in Carthage.

Born May 7, 1916 in Panola County, she was the daughter of Killis and Ella Black Cranford, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Carthage. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carnell Thompson, who died in 1988; husband, Henry Jossey, who died in 1984; and a grandson, Michael [sic Micheal] Thompson, who died this year.

Survivors include her mother, Ella Black Cranford, of Carthage; son-in-law, A.C. Thompson, of Carthage; sister, Alberta Cranford, of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Milton D. and Terri Thompson, of Webster, and Charlene and Edward Thomas, of Carthage; great-grandchildren, Craig Thompson, of San Diego, Christopher Thompson, of Baytown, Edward Lee Thomas Jr. and LeNae' Thomas, both of Carthage.

Viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
